Is your shock absorber only three years old? Good maintenance can be used for another two years

Under normal circumstances, the normal life of the shock absorber is 60,000 to 80,000 highways. If calculated at 20,000 kilometers a year, it can be used for about 3 to 4 years. A properly maintained car owner can use it for another year or two. However, judging from the actual use of car owners, most car owners have used it for less than 3 years. According to a shock absorber manufacturer’s statistics, more than 100,000 three packages are returned from the market each year, accounting for 8.3‰ of the annual output. The main reason is that consumers cannot properly maintain and use them. In the true sense, there are not many shock absorber quality problems. In other words, as long as the maintenance and use are in place, it is not a problem to use the shock absorber for three to five years.

The shock absorber is easily damaged by the shock absorber oil seal. After the oil seal is damaged, the shock absorber oil will leak and the shock absorber will fail. Therefore, pay attention to the following points during normal use:

1.If the road surface is poor, such as crossing ditch and ridge, slow down and pass. Especially when the road conditions are relatively poor, quickly passing through the potholes may cause the shock absorber’s piston to bottom, causing damage to the shock absorber.

2.Avoid placing heavy objects in the trunk for a long time. Generally, the four-wheel shock absorbers have been adjusted to the best condition. When heavy cargo is placed in the trunk for a long time, it will cause heavy pressure on the rear wheel shock absorber, and the oil seal will be stressed, resulting in the possibility of oil leakage.

3.Avoid leaning and parking the vehicle for a long time. In some cities or communities, parking spaces are tight, so many car owners park their vehicles on the side of the road. In order to make more space for the road, most car owners will choose one wheel to ride on the road teeth, which causes the whole vehicle to be high on the side. Low, uneven force will also cause damage to the shock absorber.

4.Check the shock absorber regularly. Under normal circumstances, the shock absorber should be checked every 20,000 kilometers to check whether the shock absorber leaks or fails. During the inspection, press the bumper firmly and then release it. If the car jumps 2 or 3 times, it means that the shock absorber is working well.
